About Us
Nestled on the banks of the River Wye in the heart of Tintern, The Rose & Crown has been welcoming locals and travellers for generations. Run by Sally and Jason, it's the kind of pub where you always feel at home — whether you're a regular or stepping in after a walk along the Wye.
We're best known as one of the Wye Valley's favourite steakhouses, but there's something for everyone — home-cooked pub classics, Wye Valley ales, and a cracking specials board that changes with whatever's fresh and local.
A short walk from Tintern Abbey and right on the river, we're the perfect stop whether you're exploring the valley or just fancying a good meal close to home.
From a 16oz T-Bone to an 8oz Fillet — proper steaks, cooked right, in a proper pub.
Terrace with river views, and a mooring for visitors arriving by boat.
Warm up after a walk in the valley. Dogs welcome, children welcome.
Food
Our steaks are the heart of what we do — aged beef, cooked to order, served with all the trimmings.
All steaks served with fried onions, mushrooms & tomato, and a choice of chips or jacket potato, and garden peas or salad. Add a sauce for £4.50 — Peppercorn, Diane or Stilton.
